Lost my ATM Debit card in a fraction of sec

Today is the last date of booking my third semester MBA exam. I went to a nearby bank ATM to withdraw some money for the exam fee. I’m not an account holder of that bank. But my bank has given an option to withdraw anywhere. My close friend, Jane also came with me since she is also need to book for her exam. It is a hot sunny day. We were literally running to the ATM to get some cool air ;).  But unfortunately that AC wasn’t working. 😦 . We both were planning to take some money as we need to book our slots. I inserted the card and suddenly the power went off. The ATM machine went off. My card was inside and I really didn’t know what to do next. I got this new card (I already lost one) only by last week.

We are very happy friends. Very talkative, like to roam around and eat a lot. We don’t get tensed even for a very serious thing if we are together. Even after I lost my card, we were laughing for almost 5 mins (i’m regularly loosing all my debit, credit cards thought i’m not that careless).

We saw a customer support number in the notice board of the ATM. But that’s on bangalore. When I called them, they said they can’t help with it. I should need to get a new card.

As I didn’t have any options, I applied for a new one.

I’d like to mention few things here:

• Though I lost my card, I’ve spent some time with my close friend. We are pretty busy nowadays.

• We had a good laugh

The whole incident was not because of ATM center or bank’s fault. It was due to power failure. No one is able to do anything with it. Especially in chennai.

 

Chennai Parks – Children Play

Chennai has lot of things to see, visit and roam around. I’m outrageous. I don’t want to sit at home always. Especially, I like to sit in chennai parks. I regularly go to independence day park whenever i got some time. Though it is good, it’s so crowded. The park will be jam packed in evenings. Children can’t play well in the park. Recently, the government have opened a park between kottum puram to nandhanam signal. I used to cross the park. But didn’t even think of sitting their since i felt the size was small and it’s typically like independence day park. But, if you go inside, the park is good. It’s in moderate size. Children can roam around well and they have seeza, thooli etc to play well. I myself enjoyed thooli in that park after a looooooooooooong time. 🙂

When you get some time, visit that park. You’ll feel good with the children around. 🙂

Auto Drivers at Chennai

We everyone at chennai knows how important auto’s are. Most of the auto drivers are quite good and they would help us to identify places even if we don’t know the proper address. Though, some of them are really worst in everything. I would like share my past experience with you are in a travel time.

 

Great Brands – Worth It?

As I’m a foody, I love to try variety of foods. I usually don’t take all my foods in our normal 3 times cycle. I like to split that up and eat at regular intervals. We can’t bring everything from home while going to office. So, I’ll go out with ma friends in the evenings and had “full kattu” :). A very famous brand fast food shop near to our office. I used to go there during my starting days.

 

A Chennai Family Restaurant – “Drive In”

Drive In at Cathedral road is my favorite place. You don’t see a place like this within the center of the city. I’m going to “drive in” for about 2 months now. But I go very often nowadays. May be, once a week (which is very often to me 😉 ). My cousin used to tell me that drive in at cathedral road is a nice place, you don’t see a place like that in chennai and more and more. One fine day, we went there for our dinner. My god!! Didn’t expect such a nice place in the heart of the city. Lot of trees, kids playing outdoor games and ofcourse nice breathe. It’s a nice place to spend some time with your friends and family with nice food.

A Place Near Muttukaadu

Last sunday, Some of our friends have decided to go to dakshin chitra which is in ECR rode. I’m in chennai for about 3 years. but I didn’t go around chennai very well. So, we decided to make a nice trip for the weekend. The road is very good. I love to drive in that king of road. But I don’t have driving license. So, was simply sitting in my seat. When we reach dakshin chitra, we fell we would go into the road little more and see how the road is. It’s leading to pondicherry. After dakshin chitra, you can see muttukaadu lake and after that, you can see lot of forest kind of areas. It’s very small in area. People are having their food, playing aroung and children are playing in the pool. We didn’t expect a location like that near chennai. We parked our vehicle and gone inside the “tree’s around” area and had a walk through the forest.

 

Wearing ID cards when you are out

Every company has a rule that we need to wear ID cards within the campus. But we used to wear it after we are out from the office also. I usually forget to wear ID cards and wear it in a rush when i’m entering into the office. After some time, I thought I would wear it when starting from my home. So, I’ll wear it for the whole day.

 

Chennai Air Show

Below are the snaps of chennai air show on 22nd in Marina Beach. No vehicles allowed in the beach road. Me, my friend and her mother, we three have planned that day and started with a big plan to arrive at a correct time. At the mid, our ideas all flopped and we again found an auto (We gave 200% more fare for the auto) and gone half the distance. After than we walked at about 1.5 KM and arrived at a very perfect time. We are entering into the beach and show started. We got a good place to see the show and the show was very good. I have the videos but there are no options in blogger to upload videos. Will upload my videos in the next blog.

 

I’m too Swamped……….

My friend sent me the above picture and I feel happy to see something like this. Atleast we can see that in the board.

I’m too swamped with my work and little confused. Just now started listing out all my works with priority. Sometimes we need to coordinate with our subordinates even they do big mistakes.
